About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a long-term contract opportunity in Moraine, Ohio. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys improving enterprise applications, building modern cloud-based solutions, and strengthening development practices across the team. The position offers the chance to contribute to application refactoring efforts while applying strong skills in .NET, front-end development, and DevOps-driven delivery.
Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and enhance enterprise software solutions using C#, .NET, ASP.NET, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Contribute to the modernization of legacy applications by refactoring codebases and improving overall system performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Develop and support cloud-based solutions in Azure, including deployment automation and environment configuration.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions to streamline build, test, and release processes.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code practices using Terraform or Bicep to standardize and automate cloud provisioning.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define technical approaches, resolve complex issues, and deliver reliable software solutions.
• Apply strong data access and persistence practices, including Entity Framework, to support robust application development.
• Mentor team members, promote engineering best practices, and help establish consistent development standards across the organization.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and experience working with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Hands-on experience with Azure architecture, cloud services, and application deployment in a Microsoft ecosystem.
• Solid background building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and related DevOps tools.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code solutions such as Terraform or Bicep.
• Strong understanding of software modernization, including refactoring legacy applications for improved scalability and supportability.
• Experience using Entity Framework for data access and application persistence.
• Ability to guide peers, encourage development standards, and contribute effectively within structured engineering teams.
