ERP/CRM Configuration SME

We are looking for an ERP/CRM Configuration SME to provide advisory support for an audit-focused engagement. This Long-term Contract opportunity is expected to run for 3-4 months and requires part-time availability of 10-15 hours per week aligned with Eastern Time business hours. The role is well suited for someone who is detail oriented and can assess system configuration practices, review technical documentation, and offer informed guidance across ERP/CRM environments in a remote setting.

Responsibilities:

• Advise stakeholders on ERP/CRM configuration controls, system setup practices, and audit readiness across the engagement.

• Review existing business requirements and technical materials to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and areas requiring clarification.

• Evaluate client-side scripting and Salesforce-related configurations to support compliance, accuracy, and operational reliability.

• Provide subject matter expertise on configuration management standards, including documentation, change tracking, and control validation.

• Assess API integrations and related technical dependencies to help confirm that connected processes are properly documented and understood.

• Partner with internal teams to answer audit-related questions, interpret system behavior, and recommend practical corrective actions when needed.

• Document findings, observations, and recommendations in a clear format that supports decision-making and follow-up activities.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience serving as a subject matter expert in ERP and/or CRM configuration environments.
• Strong knowledge of configuration management principles, governance practices, and control-oriented review processes.
• Practical experience with Salesforce development and client-side scripting in enterprise business applications.
• Ability to analyze and interpret business requirement documents with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with API development concepts and the impact of integrations on system configuration and audit review.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote, part-time consulting capacity while maintaining alignment with Eastern Time hours.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
