About the Role
We are looking for a Data Analyst to support reliable data operations and help maintain the flow, quality, and usability of critical information across the organization. This role is based in Nashville, Tennessee, and is well suited for someone who combines strong Python and SQL skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting data issues. The person in this position will work closely with technical teams and business partners to identify problems, improve pipeline performance, and keep stakeholders informed in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily data processing activities to identify failed loads, broken workflows, or feed issues and take prompt action to restore normal operations.
• Investigate delays in incoming data, determine underlying causes, and implement corrective steps to improve consistency and timeliness.
• Collaborate with internal technology teams, delivery partners, and external vendors to communicate status updates, risks, and progress on data-related work.
• Troubleshoot coding and data quality problems, fulfill support requests, and develop practical measures that reduce repeat incidents.
• Evaluate competing issues independently, set priorities based on business impact, and recommend improvements to inefficient code or operational processes.
• Maintain clear documentation and provide regular communication so stakeholders understand incidents, resolutions, and next steps.
• Participate in an on-call support rotation to respond to pipeline or data availability incidents when needed.
• Contribute to additional operational and analytical initiatives that strengthen data reliability and support organizational goals.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience working with data platforms, databases, or related data tools.
• Minimum 1 year of experience developing in Python.
• Working knowledge of SQL and data analysis concepts, with the ability to diagnose issues across datasets and pipelines.
• Strong debugging, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage issues through resolution.
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming principles as well as logging, monitoring, and alerting best practices.
• Ability to work independently in an agile environment while communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Azure Databricks is preferred; exposure to Spark, Delta tables, Azure Data Factory, lakehouse architecture, or regulated data environments is a plus.
