Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (flexible start/end times discussed during interview process)
Overview
We are seeking a Snowflake Analyst with experience in SAP S/4HANA data integration to support enterprise data initiatives within a large-scale environment. This role combines data analysis, business analysis, and technical documentation responsibilities, helping bridge SAP source systems with modern Snowflake-based data solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong Snowflake expertise, experience working with SAP S/4HANA data structures, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and professionally to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and reverse engineer existing data products, pipelines, and data models.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Work with SAP teams to understand and map SAP S/4HANA data into Snowflake-based solutions.
- Evaluate source data quality, completeness, and reporting alignment.
- Collaborate with architects and data engineers on data ingestion, transformation, and modeling strategies.
- Create and maintain data lineage, mapping documents, data dictionaries, and interface specifications.
- Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting efforts across data pipelines.
- Recommend improvements to existing Snowflake models, warehouse design, and transformation logic.
- Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and enterprise data best practices.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with Snowflake, including data warehousing concepts, schema design, SQL development, and performance optimization.
- Experience working with SAP S/4HANA data structures and modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, or PP.
- Ability to interpret SAP metadata, including tables, CDS views, extractors, and SAP BW artifacts.
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and enterprise data architectures.
- Experience reverse engineering datasets, reports, dashboards, or existing data solutions.
- Strong technical documentation skills, including functional and technical specifications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large enterprise SAP environments.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Familiarity with Snowflake-native services and modern cloud data architectures.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field and relevant professional experience; OR
- Advanced degree in a related field; OR
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
