Cyber Security Analyst

We are seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Analyst to help protect our cloud infrastructure, web platforms, and sensitive data. In this role, you will monitor security events, investigate threats, respond to incidents, and implement security controls across AWS and web environments. The ideal candidate is hands-on, security-minded, and passionate about identifying risks before they become problems.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Monitor Datadog alerts, logs, and security events to identify and respond to potential threats.
• Investigate phishing attempts, suspicious logins, bot activity, malware, and unauthorized access incidents.
• Secure and support AWS environments, WordPress platforms, and member-facing applications.
• Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and remediation efforts to reduce risk.
• Review and strengthen authentication controls, user access, and role-based permissions.
• Monitor and mitigate suspicious traffic, account abuse, and security vulnerabilities.
• Support HIPAA, SaaS compliance, and audit-readiness initiatives.
• Partner with technical and operations teams to implement security best practices and improve the organization's overall security posture.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, security operations, or a related security-focused role.
• Hands-on experience securing, monitoring, and supporting AWS cloud environments.
• Experience administering and securing WordPress websites and web applications.
• Background working in HIPAA-regulated, SaaS, or other compliance-driven environments.
• Experience protecting systems and data containing PII, PHI, and other sensitive information.
• Proven ability to perform security audits, vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and remediation activities.
• Strong understanding of role-based access control (RBAC), user provisioning, permission management, and identity security best practices.
• Experience investigating and responding to phishing attacks, malware incidents, suspicious login activity, account compromise attempts, and other security threats.
• Ability to proactively identify vulnerabilities and emerging threats while effectively responding to active security incidents.
• Experience reviewing logs, security alerts, and monitoring tools to detect, analyze, and mitigate security risks.
