About the Role
We are looking for an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer to join a fast-paced team and help shape intelligent, scalable solutions that support healthcare technology initiatives. This contract position with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who combines strong software and data engineering fundamentals with a genuine interest in applied AI, automation, and modern cloud platforms. In this role, you will contribute to building robust data products, intelligent workflows, and AI-enabled services that improve operational insight and decision-making across the healthcare lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement scalable data workflows and system integrations using Azure-based services to support enterprise healthcare applications.
• Partner with technical and business teams to uncover opportunities where AI-driven automation can streamline processes and improve outcomes.
• Build and enhance autonomous or semi-autonomous agent capabilities that interact with data platforms, observe system behavior, and surface actionable insights.
• Develop and maintain cloud-based analytics and data warehousing solutions using tools such as Azure Synapse, Data Lake, and Power BI.
• Apply machine learning and AI methods to strengthen data processing, classification, detection, and operational decision support.
• Ensure engineering solutions align with security, compliance, and deployment standards required for regulated healthcare environments.
• Contribute to API development, platform reliability, and performance optimization across data and application ecosystems.
• Participate in Agile team activities, share technical recommendations, and help advance engineering best practices through continuous improvement.
• At least 3 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or cloud-based data platform development.
• Hands-on experience with Azure technologies such as Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, Event Hub, and related cloud services.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, including experience with data modeling and query or pipeline optimization.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Codex, ClaudeCode, or comparable platforms.
• Exposure to artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, TensorFlow, or detection-related solutions.
• Understanding of Agile delivery practices and experience working within collaborative, cross-functional engineering teams.
• Knowledge of healthcare data domains, standards, or regulated environments is preferred.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.• At least 3 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or cloud-based data platform development.
• Hands-on experience with Azure technologies such as Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, Event Hub, and related cloud services.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, including experience with data modeling and query or pipeline optimization.
