We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Architect to shape and deliver a scalable partner portal for a major university organization in Salt Lake City, Utah. This Long-term Contract opportunity will focus on creating a sustainable Experience Cloud solution that internal Salesforce administrators can manage confidently after launch. The role requires a strategic thinker who can translate an existing architectural vision into a secure, practical, and extensible platform that supports a growing partner network. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to build a reliable solution powered by Sales Cloud data and designed for long-term adoption.
Responsibilities:
• Assess the current architectural blueprint, confirm alignment with business goals, and propose improvements before development moves forward.
• Create the overall solution design for an Experience Cloud partner portal that supports configurable components and long-term scalability.
• Define the Salesforce data structure and automation framework that uses opportunity and product information to set up partner portal experiences efficiently.
• Establish a strong access and security approach, including external user permissions, sharing strategy, and controls that safeguard sensitive student information.
• Design integration patterns connecting Salesforce with Marketing Cloud and external billing-related platforms, coordinating with internal technical teams as needed.
• Contribute directly to solution delivery, emphasizing declarative configuration and low-code methods that reduce future engineering dependency.
• Guide the portal through pilot deployment and broader expansion, ensuring the architecture supports growth from an initial beta group to a much larger partner base.
• Prepare clear technical documentation and equip Salesforce administrators with the knowledge required to maintain, enhance, and launch new partner portals independently.
• Strong background in Salesforce security architecture, including sharing models, permission design, and protection of sensitive personal data.
• Demonstrated success building low-code or no-code Salesforce solutions that can be supported by administrators after implementation.
• Deep knowledge of Sales Cloud data modeling and automation, especially where opportunity and product data drive downstream business processes.
• Experience designing scalable external-facing solutions for large partner, customer, or account populations.
• Proven ability to work independently, solve complex platform challenges, and deliver high-quality results within demanding timelines.
• Hands-on familiarity with Experience Cloud, Salesforce integrations, and architecture standards related to secure enterprise implementations.
• Exposure to higher education environments, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, or third-party billing integrations is highly valued.
