Full Stack .NET Developer
About the Role
We are looking for a Remote Full Stack .NET Developer to join a company in based in Ankeny, Iowa. This role is suited to a self-directed software engineer who can build and support modern application features with minimal supervision while collaborating with technical stakeholders as needed. The ideal candidate brings strong experience across the Microsoft development stack and can contribute thoughtful, well-documented solutions that align with established engineering standards.
Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and enhance full stack applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET, and related Microsoft technologies.
• Develop backend services and web components with a focus on maintainable architecture, performance, and reliability.
• Create data access layers and business logic using Entity Framework and established development best practices.
• Produce clear technical documentation to support code quality, future enhancements, and team knowledge sharing.
• Work independently to plan, implement, test, and troubleshoot features while keeping work aligned with project expectations.
• Apply sound software design principles and architectural patterns when developing new functionality from the ground up.
• Follow defined engineering procedures, coding standards, and team protocols throughout the development lifecycle.
• Provide informed technical input and practical recommendations to leadership on implementation approaches and solution options.
Requirements
• 3+ years of software development experience in full stack or backend-focused .NET environments.• Hands-on expertise with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and .NET Framework.
• Experience building web applications with ASP.NET MVC and related frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Entity Framework for data modeling, querying, and persistence.
• Familiarity with modern Microsoft technologies, including exposure to .NET MAUI.
• Understanding of common software architecture concepts and structured development practices.
• Ability to work independently, follow technical direction, and manage assigned tasks with limited oversight.
• Strong written documentation skills and the ability to communicate technical recommendations clearly.
