BI Developer III
About the Role
Robert Half is seeking a Business Intelligence Analytics Engineer III to join the Financial Data & Analytics (FD&A) team. FD&A serves as the centralized owner of Finance & Accounting reporting, analytics, data governance, automation, and business insights. The team partners closely with Corporate Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Corporate Services, Talent Solutions, and Protiviti leaders to deliver trusted data, scalable reporting solutions, and actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
Business Intelligence & Analytics
Design and develop dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, and visualizations that transform complex data into actionable business insights.
Utilize business intelligence tools such as Domo (preferred), Tableau, Workday Prism Analytics, Cognos, and Power BI.
Apply statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and advanced analytics techniques to identify trends, improve forecasting, and support business decisions.
Develop reporting, automation, and analytics solutions using SQL, Python, R, Jupyter Notebooks, and modern BI technologies.
Integrate and transform data from platforms including Salesforce, Workday, AWS, and enterprise data warehouses using modern ETL practices.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and integration processes that support enterprise analytics initiatives.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Consulting
Lead analytics initiatives through the full solution lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, adoption, and ongoing support.
Partner with business stakeholders to translate complex business challenges into scalable analytics and reporting solutions.
Recommend improvements to data architecture, data quality, reporting processes, and analytics capabilities.
Collaborate with analysts, developers, architects, and business leaders to ensure solutions align with business objectives and governance standards.
Effectively communicate project status, risks, timelines, and dependencies while managing stakeholder expectations.
Mentoring & Enablement
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to analysts, BI developers, and business partners.
Support users through requirements sessions, testing, training, and solution adoption.
Promote self-service analytics, best practices, and data literacy across the organization.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, data warehousing, enterprise reporting, or related fields.
Proven ability to partner with business stakeholders and translate business needs into scalable reporting, analytics, and data solutions.
Experience leading projects through the full analytics solution lifecycle, from requirements gathering through deployment and support.
5+ years of experience with BI and visualization platforms such as Domo (preferred), Workday Prism Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, Business Objects, or similar tools.
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience developing dashboards, KPIs, and enterprise reporting solutions.
3+ years of experience designing and maintaining data models, ETL processes, data pipelines, and integration solutions.
Experience with Python, R, Jupyter Notebooks, or similar analytical programming tools for automation, advanced analytics, or data engineering strongly preferred.
