Adyen Fraud Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Adyen Fraud Analyst with hands-on experience using Adyen Protect in an e-commerce environment. This role will focus on configuring, designing and optimizing fraud rules to help prevent fraudulent transactions while minimizing false positives and protecting the customer experience.

This is a technical fraud role requiring someone who can translate fraud patterns and transaction behavior into effective fraud rules and personally configure those rules within Adyen Protect.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain fraud rules within Adyen Protect.
• Design and implement rules based on identified fraud patterns and transaction behavior.
• Monitor fraud activity and evaluate the effectiveness of existing rules.
• Analyze transaction patterns to identify emerging fraud trends.
• Tune and optimize fraud rules to reduce fraudulent transactions while minimizing false positives.
• Assess the impact of fraud controls on legitimate customer transactions.
• Recommend changes to fraud rules and controls based on data and observed results.
• Test and validate rule changes as appropriate.
• Collaborate with fraud, payments, e-commerce and technical teams.
• Support ongoing improvements to fraud prevention processes and payment risk controls.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience configuring Adyen Protect.
• Demonstrated experience creating and managing fraud rules within Adyen.
• E-commerce fraud prevention experience.
• Understanding of online transaction fraud patterns and fraud prevention strategies.
• Experience analyzing fraud activity and using findings to adjust fraud controls.
• Ability to balance fraud prevention with minimizing false positives and customer friction.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and make informed recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with payment processing platforms or payment gateways.
• Experience working with e-commerce platforms or payment integrations.
• Experience with transaction data, reporting or data analysis.
• SQL, API or other technical experience.
• Experience working closely with developers, e-commerce or payments teams.
