About the Role
We are looking for a D365 Inventory + Cash Flow Consultant to support a long-term contract engagement in Dyersville, Iowa. This role focuses on improving how Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is used for inventory operations and cash flow visibility, while helping the business make better use of data generated through the platform. The ideal consultant will bring practical guidance, strong configuration knowledge, and the ability to translate system capabilities into reliable financial and operational outcomes.
Responsibilities:
• Evaluate current Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations inventory processes and recommend more effective approaches for reserve management, replenishment planning, and day-to-day inventory control.
• Analyze inventory-related activity within D365, including transaction flows, adjustments, and stock movement, to improve accuracy and operational consistency.
• Advise stakeholders on best practices for lot and serial number traceability and help optimize how these controls are applied across the inventory module.
• Investigate cash flow issues within D365 and identify root causes affecting alignment across forecasting, receivables, payables, and ledger activity.
• Review how cash flow forecasting connects with AR, AP, GL, budgeting, and financial reporting to strengthen overall reliability and decision support.
• Partner with business and finance teams to refine system configuration and improve the quality of data feeding downstream reporting and analytics environments.
• Work with data lake inputs sourced from D365 to validate reporting readiness and support better visibility into operational and financial performance.
• Contribute to report development or reporting improvements using Power BI or similar tools when additional analysis is needed to support finance and operations.
• Provide actionable recommendations for expanding use of D365 features so the organization can gain more value from its ERP investment.
• Hands-on expertise with D365 inventory management, including inventory transactions, adjustments, reserves, replenishment, and lot or serial tracking.
• Strong knowledge of cash flow capabilities in D365, with experience connecting forecasting to accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and financial statements.
• Experience working with data lake environments that rely on D365 as a primary or sole source of upstream data.
• Ability to assess ERP configurations, identify process gaps, and recommend practical improvements that align with business and financial goals.
• Background in configuration management and ERP optimization within Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments.
• Reporting experience with Power BI or comparable analytics tools is preferred, especially in support of finance and operational insights.

Requirements
• 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations in a functional or configuration-focused consulting capacity.• Hands-on expertise with D365 inventory management, including inventory transactions, adjustments, reserves, replenishment, and lot or serial tracking.
• Strong knowledge of cash flow capabilities in D365, with experience connecting forecasting to accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and financial statements.
• Experience working with data lake environments that rely on D365 as a primary or sole source of upstream data.
