The Cloud Data Services team, within the Cloud Technology Group, delivers advanced cloud and edge networking solutions. This team designs, implements, deploys, and operates data streaming platforms, enabling product teams to create secure, efficient, and agile solutions.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test II, you focus on real-world, end-to-end testing to qualify releases. You will collaborate cross-functionally across engineering and support teams building automation frameworks that support end-to-end test cases. You'll ensure quality code releases that are resilient, scalable, and performing optimally on our state-of-the art infrastructure.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test II, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and designing tools to thoroughly test/benchmark our distributed systems
• Becoming an expert user of several internal highly-distributed systems
• Maintaining test environments
• Creating workflows and tools to automate testing and bench-marking

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will have:

• An engineering background or possess equivalent education in computer science or a related field.
• Relevant years of hands-on experience working with test automation frameworks(e.g., Pytest, Robot Framework, or similar)
• Experience operating within Linux/Unix environments
• Moderate to advanced proficiency in Python
• Working knowledge of version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), testing frameworks, and core internet protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP)
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Experience with AI-driven tools for test creation, debugging, or automation, as well as observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus - nice to have
