About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Oracle Fusion Cloud Projects/PPM Functional Lead to guide a project-centered workstream within a broader Source to Settle improvement program in Cincinnati, Ohio. This Long-term Contract opportunity will focus on shaping how Oracle Projects supports spend controls, project costing, and operational visibility across connected finance and procurement functions. The role will partner closely with business and technology teams to define an effective future-state model, configure the solution, and help drive successful delivery from design through stabilization.
Responsibilities:
• Lead discovery sessions with stakeholders to evaluate current Oracle Fusion Projects/PPM processes and define a scalable operating model for project-related spending.
• Configure project structures such as project types, templates, task hierarchies, expenditure classifications, transaction rules, organizations, and related attributes to support business needs.
• Build governance frameworks for project setup, approvals, access controls, ongoing maintenance, and ownership of key master data elements.
• Enable accurate project coding throughout requisitions, purchase orders, receipts, work confirmations, and invoices while accounting for dependencies tied to item type, category, destination, and line structure.
• Coordinate end-to-end project costing processes covering commitments, budgets, forecasts, actual costs, accounting flows, and period-close reconciliation across direct and inventory-supported transactions.
• Align Project Costing and AutoAccounting behavior with Procurement, Payables, Receipt Accounting, Cost Management, General Ledger, and Fixed Assets to ensure consistent financial treatment.
• Design and support capital project accounting processes, including cost accumulation, capitalization readiness, project-to-asset alignment, and asset closeout activities.
• Drive fit-gap analysis, functional design, system testing, defect resolution, user training, cutover planning, documentation, and post-go-live stabilization efforts.
• Proven success delivering at least two full lifecycle Oracle Fusion Projects implementations, major enhancement programs, or optimization initiatives.
• Hands-on knowledge of Project Costing and Project Control, including templates, task structures, expenditure types, transaction controls, organizations, commitments, budgets, actuals, and accounting.
• Experience integrating Oracle Projects with Procurement, Receiving, Payables, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and related costing or receipt accounting processes.
• Practical understanding of capital project accounting, capitalization workflows, asset creation or transfer, and project closeout activities.
• Ability to design both purchase order-backed and non-purchase order project expenditure processes, including services, receipts, work confirmations, accruals, and invoice matching.
• Strong capability in requirements gathering, business process analysis, configuration management, testing coordination, and stakeholder collaboration across finance, operations, and IT teams.
