QA Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for web and software applications.
• Create and execute automated, functional, regression, integration, and API tests.
• Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform manual testing when needed to validate functionality and investigate issues.
• Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.
• Analyze test results and work with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Participate in requirements and design reviews to identify potential quality issues early in the development process.
• Build and maintain reusable automated testing components and frameworks.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.
• Test application integrations, data flows, APIs, and system interfaces.
• Perform database validation and use SQL to verify data accuracy and integrity.
• Help improve overall QA processes, standards, documentation, and testing methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Monitor test coverage and identify opportunities to expand automation and improve efficiency.
• Support production issue investigations and regression testing following application changes or releases.

Requirements

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Hands-on experience developing and executing automated tests.
• Experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
• Experience with API testing and tools such as Postman or similar.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA best practices.
• Experience writing SQL queries and validating data within relational databases.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools.
• Experience working with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
