Nearshore Sector | QAE Senior

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical QAE Senior to join our nearshore team in Lisboa, Portugal. In this role, you will lead quality assurance initiatives, drive testing excellence, and mentor junior QA professionals. You will be responsible for designing comprehensive test strategies, executing both manual and automated testing, and ensuring the highest quality standards across our software products. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects while maintaining a structured, organized approach to quality management.

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for complex software applications
• Lead and mentor junior QA team members, providing guidance on testing best practices and quality standards
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and programming languages
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and document findings with clear, actionable reports
• Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and ensure thorough test coverage
• Establish and track quality metrics and KPIs to measure testing effectiveness and product quality
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform both manual and automated testing across multiple platforms and browsers
• Review and optimize testing processes to improve efficiency and reduce time-to-market
• Conduct root cause analysis on critical defects and recommend preventive measures
• Stay current with emerging QA tools, methodologies, and industry best practices

 

• 4+ years of professional QA testing experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership capacity
• Advanced knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies and frameworks
• Proficiency with test automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Selenium, Java, Python, C#)
• Strong understanding of defect management, test case design, and quality metrics
• Demonstrated experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Proven ability to organize and prioritize multiple testing initiatives simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Experience mentoring and developing junior QA professionals

• **Preferred Skills and Experience:**

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience with performance and load testing tools
• Familiarity with API testing and web services testing
• Background in cross-browser and cross-platform testing
• Experience with test management tools and reporting systems
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices
