Front End Developer

We are looking for a Front End Developer to lead the design and evolution of high-quality web experiences in Cleveland, Ohio. This Long-term Contract position focuses on building scalable frontend applications, shaping reusable UI standards, and improving maintainability through thoughtful engineering practices. The ideal candidate brings strong React expertise, deep knowledge of modern web technologies, and a disciplined approach to testing, code quality, and frontend architecture.

Responsibilities:
• Design and develop modern web applications using React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 with a focus on performance, usability, and maintainable structure.
• Create and maintain reusable interface components while documenting design patterns and usage guidance through Storybook.
• Strengthen frontend architecture by managing build tools and package workflows across technologies such as Webpack, Vite, and monorepo-based environments.
• Modernize existing code by converting legacy JavaScript modules into TypeScript to improve reliability, readability, and long-term support.
• Establish and expand automated quality practices through unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using contemporary testing frameworks.
• Review frontend code across multiple JavaScript ecosystems, offering technical guidance to support consistency and high engineering standards.
• Promote UI consistency and component reuse by defining practical standards for implementation and ongoing enhancement.
• Partner with team members to deliver right-sized technical solutions that reduce technical debt and support a scalable web platform.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of frontend development experience within enterprise or large-scale business environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise with React and advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript standards.
• Proven experience using TypeScript in production environments, including migration of existing JavaScript codebases.
• Familiarity with additional frontend frameworks such as Vue, Svelte, or SolidJS.
• Advanced understanding of Storybook and experience building documented, reusable UI component libraries.
• Demonstrated success implementing unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies with modern test tools.
• Expert knowledge of asynchronous JavaScript patterns and best practices for responsive web application development.
