Accountabilities: Formulate data and AI governance strategies aligned with client business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Create, communicate, and implement data governance policies, procedures, frameworks, and operating models while ensuring compliance. Introduce emerging technologies, methodologies, and best practices to strengthen data governance capabilities. Develop and execute data and AI governance strategies that improve data discoverability, quality, accessibility, usability, AI use-case evaluation, and AI readiness. Lead the migration of complex data architectures from on-premises environments to modern cloud platforms. Establish and enforce governance practices that strengthen data security, compliance, and responsible data management. Introduce containerization approaches that improve scalability, deployment efficiency, and operational flexibility. Mentor engineers, review architectures and code, and guide delivery teams through technical implementation. Lead technical discovery sessions and shape solution architectures based on client requirements and business objectives. Support technical presales activities, including RFP responses, demonstrations, proofs of concept, and engagement pricing. Create technical blueprints and recommend appropriate tools, frameworks, and design patterns for client environments. Partner with sales and account teams to scope engagements and showcase data governance expertise throughout the sales cycle. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience in data governance, including at least 4 years in a client-facing role, preferably within a professional services or consulting environment. Strong mastery of data governance capabilities and frameworks as defined by DAMA-DMBOK. Certification or demonstrated expertise in governance toolsets such as Unity Catalog, Atlan, or Anomalo. Expert knowledge of Databricks and Spark is required. Proven experience creating technical proofs of concept, delivering technical presales presentations, and developing engagement pricing. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement governance strategies that improve data quality, discoverability, accessibility, security, and AI readiness. Strong understanding of cloud data architectures and experience leading complex data migrations. Excellent client-facing communication skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively with both technical and executive stakeholders. Strong solution architecture and technical problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs. Experience mentoring engineers and guiding technical teams through architecture and implementation decisions. Comfortable working across a modern technology environment using Google Workspace, macOS, Slack, and Atlassian tools. Strong consulting mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate cross-functionally, and build trusted client relationships. Benefits: Base salary range of $155,000–$200,000 per year. Fully remote opportunity within the United States.
