Terms of service

By using RemoteCloud9 ("Platform") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. They apply to job seekers ("Candidates") and companies posting jobs ("Employers").

RemoteCloud9 is a job board for remote developer and technology roles. Candidates browse, create profiles and apply; Employers post openings and review applications; both can communicate through the Platform.

We may change, suspend or stop parts of the Platform with reasonable notice.

You agree to:

• Give accurate, current information
• Keep your details up to date
• Keep your password private
• Take responsibility for activity on your account
• Tell us at techcare@remotecloud9.com if you suspect unauthorised access

You must be 18 or older. Accounts for organisations must be authorised by that organisation.

• Give truthful information in your profile and applications
• Do not misrepresent your skills or experience
• Apply only to roles you genuinely want
• No automated, bulk or spam applications
• Do not harvest employer contact details

Employers may not reply to every application. Your profile may be visible to employers; you control what it contains.

• Post only real, open roles
• Give accurate descriptions, requirements and pay
• No misleading or discriminatory posts
• Use candidate data only to recruit for the posted role
• Reply to applications in reasonable time
• Close listings once filled or cancelled
• No duplicate listings for the same role

We may remove any listing that breaks these Terms without notice.

• Fraudulent, misleading, defamatory, obscene or illegal content
• Impersonating any person or company
• Multi-level marketing or unsolicited commercial messages
• Unauthorised access to the Platform or other accounts
• Bots, scrapers or crawlers without written permission
• Interfering with the Platform's performance
• Uploading malicious code
• Breaking any applicable law

You own what you post. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use and display it to run the Platform. You are responsible for its accuracy and legality; we may remove content that breaks these Terms.

The Platform's design, code, text and branding belong to RemoteCloud9. Do not copy or reuse them, or the RemoteCloud9 name and logo, without written permission.

Links to other sites (such as employer career pages) are for convenience; we are not responsible for them. We use Google OAuth, Resend and Upstash, which have their own terms.

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranty. We do not guarantee that it is uninterrupted, that listings are accurate or still open, any hiring outcome, or the accuracy of AI-generated content (cover letters, match scores, interview prep). Always review AI output before you use it.

To the extent the law allows, RemoteCloud9 is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous 12 months, or INR 500 if you paid nothing.

You agree to cover RemoteCloud9 for claims arising from your use of the Platform, breaking these Terms, breaking others' rights, or content you submit.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. You can close your account any time in settings or by emailing techcare@remotecloud9.com. Sections 7, 8, 11, 12, 13 and 15 continue after termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes go to binding arbitration in Hyderabad, Telangana. EU consumers keep their local consumer rights.

We will give at least 14 days' notice of material changes by email or on the Platform.
