Accountabilities Design, build, and evolve backend services using Kotlin and Spring, including REST/gRPC APIs, integrations, and event-driven communication through technologies such as Kafka and SQS. Develop and maintain responsive web applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript, applying frontend best practices and modern rendering and data-fetching approaches. Take ownership of features end-to-end, from product discovery and technical design through implementation, code review, testing, deployment, and production monitoring. Build reliable software through comprehensive unit and integration testing, CI/CD practices, and a strong culture of automated quality assurance. Implement observability across production services through metrics, logs, tracing, and appropriate monitoring so that releases are measurable and operationally reliable. Collaborate across squads and disciplines to solve complex technical and product challenges and ensure consistent engineering standards. Conduct thorough code reviews, share technical knowledge, and mentor junior and mid-level developers to strengthen the team's capabilities. Contribute to the evolution of scalable, secure, and resilient architecture, including clean or hexagonal architecture and domain-driven design principles. Use AI-enabled development tools and practices to optimize the software development lifecycle while maintaining high standards for code quality and reliability. Requirements Proven senior-level experience as a full-stack software developer, with strong technical ownership and the ability to contribute across the application stack. Strong backend expertise with Kotlin and Spring, or solid Java experience combined with a strong willingness and ability to transition to Kotlin. Experience designing and developing APIs, data models, integrations, and maintainable architectures, ideally with Clean Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, or DDD. Strong frontend development experience with Next.js, React, and TypeScript, including familiarity with SSR/SSG, data fetching, styling, and accessibility. Professional experience with AWS or an equivalent cloud platform, containers, and modern CI/CD practices. Strong knowledge of automated testing, including unit and integration testing, and a demonstrated commitment to software quality. Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka or SQS is highly valuable. Familiarity with production observability, including metrics, logs, tracing, SLOs, monitoring platforms such as Datadog, and on-call practices is advantageous. Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and designing systems that operate reliably at scale is a plus. Experience in food technology, payments, or fintech environments is beneficial but not essential.
