This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Caseworker based in Canada. This role supports patient and healthcare professional services within a highly regulated healthcare and pharmaceutical environment. You will focus on software quality assurance and validation across critical business and healthcare applications. Accountabilities: Determine the appropriate level of quality assurance oversight required across various IT systems and applications. Coordinate with IT teams and third-party providers to refine business and user requirements and develop, maintain, and execute complex software testing plans, scenarios, and scripts across the full testing lifecycle. Review unit testing documentation for validated systems to ensure authorized code has been adequately tested before QA and user acceptance testing activities begin. Create detailed test plans and test summary reports, designing test scenarios and configuration data aligned with application risks and objectives. Conduct functional, integration, challenge, regression, and readiness testing, including real-world testing of new applications and enhancements before formal testing begins. Execute approved test scenarios, document defects, facilitate defect triage with relevant stakeholders, and support resolution activities. Notify change management teams when tested code is approved for scheduling and release into production. Support specialized testing activities, including security testing, environment preparation, batch schedule validation, performance testing, and automated testing. Maintain documentation supporting applications and testing processes, facilitate user acceptance testing, and support third-party oversight or product-specific testing plans. Ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, security requirements, and regulatory expectations while completing other related duties as assigned. Requirements: At least 3 years of progressively responsible experience in software testing or quality assurance. Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a healthcare-related field. Experience testing healthcare, pharmaceutical, or ERP applications; pharmacovigilance experience is considered an asset. Experience with integration testing or API testing, as well as enterprise automated testing tools. Hands-on experience working with validated systems within a regulated industry. Experience with GxP system validation, IT or validated-system audits, and the creation or review of standard operating procedures is considered an asset. Ability to use enterprise automated testing tools and familiarity with tools such as HP Quality Center, Jira, or Zephyr is an asset. Working knowledge of relevant technologies, software, testing tools, CDS, office applications, and HP or equivalent testing platforms. Strong analytical, problem-solving, conceptual, organizational, and prioritization skills, with excellent attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong teamwork, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities. Ability to work effectively in an ambiguous, rapidly changing environment while establishing priorities, finding clarity, and developing practical solutions.
