Master DataOps Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Master DataOps Developer based in Brazil. This remote role focuses on building and operating the data platform foundations that support a large-scale finance data modernization initiative. You will own environment readiness, CI/CD, monitoring, reliability, and cost governance across cloud data infrastructure. The position combines hands-on platform engineering with operational ownership, ensuring data pipelines and warehouse environments remain reliable, observable, and production-ready. You will establish automated testing and promotion processes across development, testing, UAT, and production environments. The role also involves defining monitoring strategies, responding to operational risks, and maintaining clear technical and operational documentation. You will work closely with architecture and delivery teams while progressively transferring knowledge and operational practices to the client’s internal team. Accountabilities: Own environment provisioning and platform readiness across lakehouse and cloud data warehouse layers throughout the development lifecycle. Build and operate CI/CD pipelines for metric definitions and transformation logic using Git-based version control, automated testing, regression gates, and controlled promotion across development, test, UAT, and production environments. Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting for data platform operations, including CDC replication failures and lag, lakehouse landing-zone health, schema-change events, warehouse refresh states, SLA breaches, and cost or consumption anomalies. Monitor and manage platform reliability across data pipelines, storage, compute, and warehouse environments, proactively identifying operational risks and performance issues. Own platform cost attribution and consumption monitoring, providing visibility into resource usage and supporting effective cloud cost governance. Maintain architecture decision records and other living technical delivery artifacts in collaboration with architecture stakeholders. Develop and maintain production-ready operational runbooks covering replication failure and recovery, reconciliation troubleshooting, metric-definition changes, and cost-anomaly response. Support the transition of operational knowledge to the client’s internal operations team through documentation, paired working sessions, demonstrations, and continuous knowledge transfer. Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and delivery teams to ensure operational requirements are incorporated throughout the platform build rather than addressed only at the end. Help establish reliable, repeatable, and well-governed DataOps practices that support the long-term operation of the platform. Requirements Solid professional experience in DataOps, platform engineering, or a similar role supporting production cloud data platforms. Strong hands-on experience designing and operating CI/CD workflows for data pipelines, including Git-based development, automated testing, regression gates, and controlled promotion across multiple environments. Experience monitoring and troubleshooting CDC replication pipelines and cloud data warehouse environments, with Snowflake experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of production platform reliability, operational readiness, monitoring, alerting, and incident response. Demonstrated ability to take ownership of platform cost governance and consumption monitoring as a defined area of responsibility. Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, lakehouse architectures, cloud warehouses, data pipelines, and associated infrastructure. Ability to create clear production runbooks and operational documentation that can be used independently by client or operations teams. Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working across client, architecture, engineering, and delivery teams. Fluent English at B2 level or above, with the ability to act as a primary point of contact for platform operations across client and delivery teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying reliability, data quality, and operational risks. Experience with Microsoft Fabric and OneLake operational considerations, including capacity management and landing-zone health, is an advantage. Experience with Qlik Replicate is desirable. Experience working in mortgage, lending, financial services, or other highly regulated environments with strict change-control processes is a plus.
