Accountabilities: Support information assurance and cybersecurity activities across a mission-critical enterprise application environment, helping maintain compliance, manage risk, and strengthen security controls. Support cybersecurity and information assurance activities across application and enterprise environments. Implement and maintain security controls aligned with NIST, RMF, STIG, and applicable DoD requirements. Support system security authorization, assessment, accreditation, and Authority to Operate (ATO) activities. Conduct security assessments, vulnerability reviews, compliance evaluations, and security control assessments. Track security findings and coordinate remediation efforts with system, application, infrastructure, and DevSecOps teams. Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), policies, procedures, assessment artifacts, and continuous monitoring documentation. Support continuous monitoring, security metrics, status reporting, and cybersecurity reporting activities. Assist with security audits, inspections, customer assessments, and responses to identified findings. Review system and application changes to ensure ongoing compliance with established security requirements. Identify cybersecurity risks with stakeholders and support the development of practical mitigation strategies. Participate in incident response, security investigations, root cause analysis, and remediation activities when required. Monitor evolving cybersecurity threats, regulations, security controls, and federal best practices relevant to the environment. Requirements: The ideal candidate combines strong information assurance and cybersecurity experience with practical knowledge of federal security frameworks, risk management, and compliance processes. Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. 5–10+ years of experience supporting information assurance, cybersecurity, information security, or cyber risk management programs. Knowledge of NIST cybersecurity frameworks and Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes. Experience developing and maintaining security documentation and compliance artifacts. Experience supporting vulnerability management, security assessments, and compliance activities. Understanding of security controls, risk management, secure configuration, and cybersecurity best practices. Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one. U.S. citizenship is required. Active DoD 8140-aligned cybersecurity certification such as CISSP, CISM, or Security+ is preferred. Experience with Security+, CISSP, CAP, CISM, CASP+, or comparable security certifications is desirable. Experience supporting Army or DoD programs and security requirements is preferred. Demonstrated experience coordinating cybersecurity, RMF, ATO, or compliance activities for federal or DoD systems is a plus. Experience with eMASS, ACAS, SCAP, STIGs, or related cybersecurity tools is desirable. Practical knowledge of NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, CMMC, FedRAMP, or comparable federal security requirements is advantageous. Experience working in Agile or DevSecOps environments and integrating security activities into delivery processes is preferred. Experience supporting cloud security initiatives in AWS, Azure, or similar environments is a plus. Experience with Appian-based applications or Appian Cloud security and configuration practices is preferred. SAFe certifications such as SAFe Practitioner, Architect, or DevOps are advantageous. Experience supporting enterprise platform teams and shared services across multiple delivery teams is a plus. Benefits: Target salary of up to $165,000.
