You will play a key role throughout the customer solution lifecycle, translating business and technical requirements into solutions using Akamai Cloud. For strategic and complex engagements, you will operate in a forward-deployed capacity. Embedding directly with customer teamsoften requiring onsite travelto deeply understand their environment, requirements, constraints, and desired outcomes. Additionally, serve as a thought leader in cloud computing within and beyond Akamai.

As an Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with internal teams to support cloud opportunities, ensuring lasting customer success through Akamai Cloud adoption, technical execution, and client engagement.
• Embedding with strategic customers (remotely/ onsite), working closely with customers' teams to translate into production-ready architectures, prototypes, integrations, and solutions.
• Analyzing and breaking down application components while utilizing modern cloud technologies to create scalable, efficient service-oriented architectures, APIs, and web services.
• Architecting and deploying high-performance AI/ML infrastructure, optimizing GPU workloads, and integrating scalable inference platforms for enterprise customers.
• Providing hands-on engineering throughout high-touch customer engagementsspanning discovery, proof-of-concept, implementation, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and production readiness.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across Akamai's cloud compute, security, and delivery technology stacks, as well as Product and Engineering, to solve complex enterprise workloads.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Able to travel frequently to customer locations & regular onsite embedding is expected as a core requirement of this forward-deployed role.
• Have 6+ years of experience with cloud-based applications, including architecture, implementation, engineering, and strategy within large-scale systems.
• Demonstrate expertise in technical roles at cloud software, public cloud environments with customer-focused responsibilities, i.e. IaaS architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes).
• Thrive in highly collaborative, embedded customer environments, serving as a seamless extension of a customer's technical team during strategic engagements.
• Demonstrate exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, effectively conveying technical concepts, architecture decisions, tradeoffs, and outcomes to technical and executive audiences.
