Accountabilities: Design, develop, and maintain Windows-based automotive diagnostic applications using C# and .NET. Implement and integrate UDS communication according to ISO 14229. Develop communication workflows using ISO-TP in accordance with ISO 15765. Integrate CAN and CAN FD hardware and associated APIs into diagnostic applications. Develop and maintain ECU diagnostics and firmware flashing workflows. Implement UDS services including Diagnostic Session Control (0x10), ECU Reset (0x11), Security Access (0x27), Request Download (0x34), Transfer Data (0x36), and Transfer Exit (0x37). Implement checksum and CRC verification mechanisms for firmware programming workflows. Build reliable retry, timeout, error-handling, and recovery mechanisms for diagnostic and flashing operations. Apply MVVM architecture and object-oriented design principles to create maintainable software. Use asynchronous programming and multithreading to support responsive and reliable diagnostic applications. Work with CAN development and diagnostic tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, PCAN-View, Vehicle Spy, and Visual Studio. Integrate and troubleshoot CAN hardware from platforms such as Vector, PEAK PCAN, Kvaser, Intrepid, or NI-XNET. Work with firmware formats including Intel HEX, Motorola S-Record, and binary files. Collaborate with technical stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and deliver robust diagnostic software solutions. Requirements: 5–10 years of professional software engineering experience, with strong hands-on experience in automotive ECU diagnostics. Strong programming experience with C# and .NET Framework and/or .NET 6+. Practical experience developing Windows desktop applications using WPF and/or WinForms. Strong knowledge of UDS and ISO 14229. Hands-on experience with ISO-TP and ISO 15765. Strong understanding of CAN and CAN FD communication. Proven experience with ECU diagnostics and firmware flashing. Practical experience implementing UDS diagnostic services and ECU programming workflows. Experience with checksum/CRC validation, retries, timeouts, and recovery mechanisms. Strong understanding of MVVM architecture and object-oriented software design. Experience with asynchronous programming and multithreading. Hands-on experience integrating CAN hardware and APIs. Familiarity with CAN tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, PCAN-View, or Vehicle Spy. Experience with Vector, PEAK PCAN, Kvaser, Intrepid, or NI-XNET hardware is preferred. Familiarity with firmware formats such as Intel HEX, Motorola S-Record, and binary (.bin) files. Experience using Visual Studio and Git in professional software development environments. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex communication and diagnostic issues. Ability to work independently and contribute effectively to technically demanding projects. Immediate availability to join is required. Benefits: Full-time employment.
