This is a mission-critical systems administration role supporting military electronic health record (EHR) environments and associated IT infrastructure. You will help maintain secure, reliable, and highly available systems supporting a global operational mission. The role covers server and operating system administration, account and permission management, patching, backups, recovery, and system monitoring. You will troubleshoot incidents, coordinate service restoration, and support deployed IT environments in OCONUS locations. The position combines hands-on technical administration with detailed documentation and operational readiness responsibilities. As Government-designated Key Personnel, you will be expected to demonstrate technical and OCONUS readiness from the beginning of the assignment. Accountabilities Administer operating systems, servers, user accounts, permissions, and supporting infrastructure and services. Perform authorized system patching, configuration changes, backups, and recovery activities while maintaining system security and availability. Monitor system health and performance, investigate incidents, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate timely service restoration. Support military EHR environments and deployed IT infrastructure across operational and OCONUS settings. Maintain accurate administration procedures, configuration records, technical documentation, and operational support materials. Support secure and reliable system configurations in accordance with applicable technical, cybersecurity, and operational requirements. Manage personnel deployment activities and support associated operational requirements across multiple OCONUS areas of responsibility. Navigate the Synchronized Pre-deployment and Operational Tracker (SPOT) and coordinate host-nation theater clearance and DOCPER requirements. Maintain the technical and operational continuity expected of a Government-designated Key Personnel position. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience. At least 5 years of relevant experience in system administration, including experience supporting military EHR and IT environments in OCONUS settings. Active Secret security clearance and a valid U.S. passport with at least 18 months of validity remaining on the first day of contract performance. Assigned DCWF role aligned with 451, System Administrator, Intermediate . Microsoft System Administrator certification and one relevant cybersecurity certification such as Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or an equivalent credential. Relevant operating system certification appropriate to the supported environment; credentials such as Microsoft or Red Hat certifications may be applicable depending on the final requirements. Strong practical knowledge of operating systems, servers, permissions, patch management, backups, recovery, monitoring, and incident troubleshooting. Experience managing personnel deployments and coordinating SPOT, host-nation theater clearance, and DOCPER requirements across multiple OCONUS areas of responsibility. Ability to satisfy applicable DoDM 8140.03 foundational qualification requirements before independently performing duties involving privileged access or covered cybersecurity functions. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and maintain system availability and operational readiness in demanding mission environments. Strong communication and collaboration skills when coordinating with technical teams, operational stakeholders, and external parties. Benefits Base salary range of $81,000–$115,000 .
