This role combines software engineering, developer advocacy, technical support, and AI to help developers build effective solutions with modern APIs and cloud technologies. You will create practical examples, reference implementations, SDKs, and educational content that make complex developer workflows easier to understand and adopt. The position also involves working directly with partners and customers to troubleshoot integrations, reproduce technical issues, and improve the overall developer experience. You will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to influence API design, onboarding, documentation, and support practices. A key focus will be enabling secure access to platform data through MCP servers, clients, and emerging agentic AI patterns. Accountabilities: Create high-quality sample applications, SDKs, reference implementations, and code examples that demonstrate development best practices. Develop developer-focused educational content, including tutorials, how-to guides, technical blog posts, and short demonstrations for communities and events. Provide technical support and issue triage for partners and customers integrating APIs and platform services. Reproduce technical issues, investigate integration problems, and coordinate resolutions with engineering teams. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to provide developer feedback and influence API design and overall developer experience. Improve onboarding experiences, technical documentation, runbooks, and support workflows for developers and partners. Build reference implementations and example code for Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and clients, enabling agents and tools to securely access platform data. Explore and apply agentic AI integration patterns to help developers build new solutions and workflows. Use generative AI tools to accelerate development deliverables, including prototypes, sample applications, code generation, and documentation drafts. Review and validate AI-generated outputs to ensure they meet required standards for quality, security, accuracy, and maintainability. Stay current with emerging developer technologies, AI capabilities, APIs, SDKs, and cloud development practices. Present technical concepts clearly to developer communities, partners, customers, and other technical audiences. Requirements: 3+ years of experience in software engineering, developer advocacy, developer support, partner-facing engineering, or a related developer-facing technical role. Hands-on experience working with REST APIs, SDKs, and modern web or cloud technology stacks. Ability to create clean, maintainable, tested, and easy-to-understand sample code. Strong understanding of authentication and authorization patterns, including OAuth2 flows and service accounts. Knowledge of secure API integration and software development practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting technical concepts to developers and other technical audiences. Experience creating technical documentation, tutorials, examples, or other developer-focused educational content is an asset. Experience with developer advocacy, developer support, or partner-facing engineering is preferred. Familiarity with Autodesk Platform Services (APS), Forge, or comparable platform APIs is an asset. Knowledge of product APIs and technologies such as Revit, ACC/BIM Automation, or Fusion is a plus. Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Python, or .NET. Familiarity with Docker and modern cloud deployment patterns. Understanding of Model Context Protocol (MCP), MCP server/client architectures, or agentic AI integration concepts is an advantage. Ability to collaborate effectively with product, engineering, customer, and partner-facing teams. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex technical issues into practical solutions. Benefits: Base salary of $123,000–$180,400 CAD for Canada-based roles. Offers may exceed the published salary range depending on experience and geographic location. Potential annual cash bonuses, stock grants, and other elements of the overall compensation package.
