This role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing complex cloud solutions using AWS technologies. You will act as a technical reference for backend, data, and platform teams, helping translate architectural decisions into scalable solutions. The position combines hands-on engineering with architecture validation, infrastructure automation, observability, and production troubleshooting. Accountabilities: Implement complex technical solutions in cloud environments, serving as a technical reference for backend, data, and platform teams. Design scalable and resilient AWS architectures aligned with technical and business requirements. Validate the technical feasibility of architectural decisions in collaboration with architects and other technical stakeholders. Optimize the performance of critical cloud workloads and resolve production bottlenecks through hands-on investigation. Troubleshoot complex incidents and performance issues in production environments. Design cloud-native architectures involving networking, serverless computing, and scalable databases. Develop and apply organizational standards for infrastructure as code. Establish reusable patterns for infrastructure automation across teams and squads. Develop and maintain CI/CD automation and deployment pipelines for cloud services. Implement monitoring and observability practices to improve system reliability and performance visibility. Use profiling and performance-analysis tools to identify and resolve technical bottlenecks. Prototype technical solutions rapidly to validate architectural approaches and address complex challenges. Apply cloud best practices across infrastructure, applications, data, and platform environments. Explore and implement solutions involving generative AI workflows and AI agent frameworks. Promote technical best practices through internal workshops, knowledge-sharing sessions, and solution reviews. Document technical processes, architectures, standards, and solutions to support reuse and organizational alignment. Collaborate with multiple squads to promote consistency and alignment in cloud architecture and engineering practices. Contribute to continuous improvement of cloud infrastructure, automation, reliability, and development practices. Requirements: Advanced knowledge of AWS cloud services and architecture. Strong hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, Step Functions, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, and RDS. Experience designing and implementing scalable, cloud-native architectures. Practical experience with AI agent frameworks such as LangChain. Experience with generative AI workflows, including technologies such as Amazon Bedrock and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). Strong experience developing and maintaining infrastructure as code using Terraform. Experience implementing and automating CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based services. Advanced knowledge of monitoring and observability solutions such as CloudWatch and Datadog. Experience using profiling and performance-analysis tools to investigate application and infrastructure bottlenecks. Strong troubleshooting skills in production environments. Ability to rapidly prototype solutions and validate technical approaches. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities for complex technical challenges. Ability to work collaboratively with backend, data, platform, architecture, and other technical teams. Strong communication skills and ability to share technical knowledge through workshops and solution reviews. Ability to document technical solutions clearly and create reusable standards and practices. Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for technical improvement and automation.
