About the Role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Information Security & DevOps Manager based in the United States. This role combines information security, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and end-user IT support within a modern, fast-moving technology environment. You will take ownership of the organization’s security posture while building the infrastructure and operational capabilities needed to support internally developed software. A major focus will be bringing core IT and security functions in-house and establishing scalable processes, tooling, and documentation from the ground up. You will manage a Google Cloud environment, CI/CD practices, endpoint security, identity controls, helpdesk operations, and disaster recovery. The role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with significant autonomy and direct ownership of the technology environment. You will also partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to strengthen operational resilience, improve employee productivity, and reduce reliance on outsourced IT services. You will also partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to strengthen operational resilience, improve employee productivity, and reduce reliance on outsourced IT services. Accountabilities: As Information Security & DevOps Manager, you will serve as a senior technical owner across security, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, networking, and internal IT operations. Build and maintain the organization’s information security program, including endpoint detection and response, patch management, email and identity security, MFA, access controls, vulnerability management, and incident response. Establish security tools, processes, policies, and operational practices that create a defensible security posture without reliance on an outsourced managed service provider. Stand up and manage the independent Google Cloud infrastructure supporting internally developed applications and services. Own CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, system uptime, backups, and disaster recovery for internally managed systems. Lead the transition of day-to-day IT support and helpdesk operations in-house, including ticketing/PSA systems, employee onboarding and offboarding, and device management. Manage endpoint security baselines and IT networking equipment across company locations. Administer the company-wide credential and password management environment. Manage relationships with Google Workspace, security technology vendors, and specialist technology providers. Build and maintain technical documentation, including runbooks, network diagrams, escalation procedures, and continuity documentation. Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to align technology priorities with broader organizational objectives. Represent the technology function in leadership discussions and communicate technical strategies and decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Analyze operational performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to increase efficiency, security, and reliability. Monitor emerging technologies, security practices, and infrastructure trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Provide hands-on technical support and take on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve. Requirements: The ideal candidate is an experienced, hands-on technologist who can independently own a broad technology environment and build IT, security, and infrastructure capabilities from a relatively blank slate. 8+ years of progressive experience across IT operations, information security, DevOps, or related technology functions. Experience serving as a senior or sole technical owner within a small or midsize organization, rather than exclusively working within a large specialized technology team. Hands-on cloud infrastructure experience, with Google Cloud Platform strongly preferred, including compute, storage, IAM, and networking; equivalent AWS or Azure experience will also be considered. Practical experience with security technologies and processes, including EDR/SIEM, MFA/SSO, patch management, vulnerability management, and incident response. Ability to operate security tools directly while also communicating security posture, risks, and priorities effectively to non-technical leadership. Experience managing helpdesk, ticketing, and end-user support operations for approximately 400+ users. Experience designing and managing onboarding and offboarding workflows. Strong understanding of infrastructure ownership, with the ability to work independently and build processes rather than rely on established playbooks. Experience transitioning IT functions away from a managed service provider and building internal capabilities is a plus. Familiarity with MacOS and Google Workspace environments is a plus. Experience with property management, hospitality, vacation rental, hotel, or HOA technology systems is highly preferred. Prior product or program management experience in a related industry or function is a plus. Strong technical aptitude and comfort working across a broad range of digital systems, applications, mobile devices, tablets, and software platforms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees, leadership, and clients. Strong self-direction, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability in a fast-changing environment. Must be located in the United States; employment outside the United States and visa sponsorship are not available. Ability to work remotely with a reliable internet connection. Availability for a typical Monday–Friday schedule, with flexibility to support business needs, including occasional weekends and holidays when required. Benefits: Annual salary of $120,000–$140,000 , less applicable payroll deductions and required withholdings. Fully remote work environment within the United States. Typically Monday–Friday schedule with flexibility to support business needs. Health, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) with company match. Paid time off and holidays for non-exempt employees. Paid flexible time off and holidays for exempt employees. Paid sick leave. Opportunity to build security, DevOps, infrastructure, and IT support capabilities from the ground up. Significant autonomy and direct ownership of the organization’s technology environment. Opportunity to work across security, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, networking, and end-user technology. Exposure to a broad technology environment within a fast-moving hospitality and property management organization.
