Your expertise will help establish scalable best practices, improve adoption, and optimize workflows across multiple teams. You will also contribute to the evaluation and implementation of new technologies, integrations, and platform capabilities. Accountabilities: Administer, configure, and support Jira and Confluence Cloud environments across R&D and Product teams, including projects, workflows, permissions, fields, schemes, dashboards, filters, reports, and templates. Build and maintain Jira projects and advanced workflows while developing effective solutions through complex JQL, reporting, dashboards, and customized configurations. Support the broader R&D technology ecosystem, including GitHub and other development, collaboration, and lab-related tools. Lead the end-to-end implementation of new tools within R&D, from evaluating requirements and defining solutions through deployment, adoption, and ongoing support. Collaborate with IT and technical stakeholders to configure platforms and integrations that address the specific needs of R&D and Product teams. Serve as a subject matter expert in tooling and process discussions, recommending best practices and identifying opportunities to improve existing implementations. Analyze and document platform functionality, usage patterns, and operational requirements to identify areas for continued improvement. Evaluate, test, and validate new Atlassian features, applications, integrations, and functionality to ensure compatibility and reliability. Research Atlassian applications, assess their business value, support purchasing cases, and oversee implementation where appropriate. Develop and maintain Confluence best practices covering page structures, templates, space organization, and permissions. Partner with Training teams to create user enablement materials and guidance covering existing tools, new functionality, and recommended practices. Support continuous improvement and adoption of R&D tools by helping teams use available capabilities effectively and consistently. Requirements: Proven experience as a Jira Administrator with strong expertise customizing Jira projects, schemes, complex workflows, custom JQL, and integrations with external business or reporting systems. Experience architecting or administering Jira Cloud environments across multiple teams, including Jira Software and Jira Service Management, is highly valued. Experience administering GitHub organizations or other source-control platforms. Strong knowledge of Jira and Confluence dashboards, filters, reporting, workflows, fields, permissions, and configuration capabilities. Experience researching, evaluating, building business cases for, and implementing Atlassian applications. Understanding of user and group management through Atlassian Access. Experience supporting technical systems and enterprise tools within rapidly changing environments. Exposure to AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware, or comparable infrastructure technologies is an advantage. Atlassian certifications are considered an asset. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a structured approach to evaluating technical requirements and identifying improvements. Ability to work effectively in an agile, collaborative environment and manage competing priorities with strong time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams. Strong work ethic, adaptability, and a proactive approach to ownership and continuous improvement. Benefits: Competitive base salary range of $75,000–$246,000 CAD annually , with actual compensation determined by skills, experience, location, and job level.
