Front-end Developer

This role combines front-end web development with growing ownership of business intelligence reporting and internal technology tools. You will primarily build and improve intuitive, reliable user interfaces using React or similar technologies. Alongside this core responsibility, you will develop into the owner of Power BI reports, dashboards, and their deployment processes. You will work closely with engineering and client-facing teams to ensure information is presented clearly and supports effective decision-making. Accountabilities: As a Front-end Developer, you will own the evolution of internal web interfaces while progressively taking full responsibility for Power BI reporting and deployment. You will combine strong front-end engineering, data visualization, usability, and operational problem-solving to deliver reliable tools and reporting experiences. Develop, maintain, and improve user interfaces for internal tools using React or similar front-end technologies. Take progressive ownership of Power BI report and dashboard delivery. Manage and improve the Power BI report-deployment process, reducing manual and brittle steps. Build and update Power BI reports and dashboards based on business and client-facing requirements. Work with the Power BI data layer, including semantic models, DAX, Power Query/M, and SQL. Learn and eventually take ownership of an existing Python-based deployment and automation codebase. Collaborate with engineering and client-facing teams to determine how data should be surfaced and presented. Improve the usability, consistency, maintainability, and robustness of internal tools and reporting solutions. Establish and document standardized measures, naming conventions, and reporting templates. Contribute to the development of internal configuration-management interfaces. Apply strong design and usability judgment to create polished and consistent user experiences. Build effective working relationships with stakeholders who depend on reporting outputs and respond directly to Power BI requests. Continuously identify opportunities to improve development, reporting, and deployment processes. Requirements: The ideal candidate brings at least five years of experience with strong hands-on front-end development expertise, complemented by practical Power BI experience. You should be comfortable taking ownership of existing platforms, collaborating across technical and non-technical teams, and improving systems rather than simply building from scratch. 5+ years of professional experience in software or web development. Strong hands-on front-end development skills with React or a similar modern framework. Solid, hands-on Power BI experience with the ability to independently own report and dashboard delivery. Working knowledge of Power BI semantic models, DAX, Power Query/M, and SQL. Willingness and ability to learn and eventually manage an existing Python-based deployment and automation codebase. Strong written and spoken English skills for collaboration with technical, non-technical, and client-facing stakeholders. Experience collaborating with engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure the right data is surfaced in the right way. Strong eye for design, usability, and interface consistency. Ability to take ownership of inherited platforms and improve their reliability and maintainability. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to identify and eliminate unnecessary manual or fragile steps in deployment processes. Experience with Power BI Projects (PBIP) and TMDL semantic-model definitions is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate, is preferred. Familiarity with design systems, component libraries, or UX tools such as Figma is preferred. Familiarity with Azure Resource Graph, Log Analytics/KQL, and Microsoft Sentinel is preferred.
