Our partner is looking for a Principal / Sr. Principal Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems Engineer based in the United States. The Principal / Sr. Principal Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems Engineer will support the integration and verification of advanced electronic warfare capabilities for a critical naval defense program. The Principal / Sr. Principal Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems Engineer will support the integration and verification of advanced electronic warfare capabilities for a critical naval defense program. Accountabilities: Serve as an individual contributor and/or task lead supporting Electronic Warfare system integration, verification, testing, and data analysis activities. Develop, execute, and document detailed RF test plans, test setups, and procedures to evaluate system performance in complex and dynamic RF emitter environments. Design controlled experiments using hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop test benches to reproduce, investigate, and troubleshoot results from remote integration facilities. Coordinate RF data collection and analysis across subsystem integration laboratories, system integration laboratories, and remote test facilities. Troubleshoot RF test setups, equipment, and operational issues while applying root cause analysis to identify defects and drive effective solutions. Analyze detailed test data to uncover system performance insights, identify trends, and support engineering decisions. Develop data analysis tools that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of technical investigations and transform complex data into actionable insights. Prepare comprehensive test documentation, status reports, and technical presentations that communicate findings and recommendations to senior leaders and customers. Support the evaluation and troubleshooting of highly visible system capabilities in collaboration with experienced EW engineers and multidisciplinary technical teams. Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and helping develop engineering capabilities within the team. Participate in backlog refinement, workload planning, and Agile/Scrum activities to support effective delivery of technical objectives. Collaborate across teams and disciplines in a fast-paced environment involving diverse assignments, high expectations, and complex engineering challenges. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with at least 5 years of related experience, 3 years with a master’s degree, or 1 year with a PhD for the Principal level. Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with at least 8 years of related experience, 6 years with a master’s degree, or 4 years with a PhD for the Sr. Principal level. At least 3 years of experience designing, integrating, or testing Electronic Warfare or Radar systems. At least 2 years of experience analyzing data collected from Electronic Warfare or Radar systems. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot system defects, perform root cause analysis, and develop and implement technical solutions. Experience operating Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) and/or Software-in-the-Loop (SWIL) test benches. Proficiency with the MATLAB programming environment. Demonstrated ability to develop software tools that support technical analysis and improve engineering workflows. Strong ability to develop and present clear, compelling reports that summarize analytical findings and support technical decision-making. Demonstrated experience providing small-group or team leadership. Experience with the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket. Experience with backlog refinement and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in collaborative, fast-paced environments with diverse assignments and high expectations. Willingness and ability to work up to 100% onsite at the Baltimore/Linthicum, Maryland campus. U.S. citizenship is required. An interim Secret clearance is required prior to starting the position. Preferred experience with digital signal processing and algorithm development. Preferred experience using tools to analyze Radio Frequency (RF) data at the I/Q level. Working knowledge of Python and/or C++ is preferred. Experience integrating and testing mature technologies in low-rate production is preferred. Experience analyzing Electronic Warfare test data and the EW kill chain, including threat acquisition, tracking, identification/classification, engagement, and warfighter interaction, is preferred. Benefits Principal-level base salary range of $108,800–$163,200 USD annually. Sr. Principal-level base salary range of $135,800–$203,600 USD annually.
