Accountabilities Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that provide stakeholders with clear and actionable business insights. Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries against relational databases to extract, join, and aggregate data for reporting and analysis. Develop and maintain robust data models, including DAX measures and calculated columns, to support accurate and high-performing dashboards. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into well-structured data visualizations and analytical solutions. Develop and maintain ETL and data pipelines to ensure reporting data remains accurate, complete, reliable, and up to date. Monitor data quality and investigate discrepancies between source systems, datasets, reports, and dashboards. Document data definitions, report logic, dashboard functionality, and usage guidelines to promote consistency and long-term maintainability. Identify opportunities to automate recurring reports and streamline business intelligence and reporting processes. Support continuous improvements to data structures, reporting workflows, and dashboard performance. Requirements Bring 5+ years of experience building reports and dashboards with Power BI or comparable business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Looker, including hands-on experience with DAX and data modeling. Demonstrate strong SQL skills and the ability to write complex queries involving joins, subqueries, window functions, and relational databases. Have a solid understanding of data modeling principles and best practices, including star schema design for reporting environments. Possess experience working with data warehouses and ETL tools or processes. Have familiarity with insurance, insurance carrier, managing insurance organization (IMO), or financial services operations, which is strongly preferred. Demonstrate a strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and a consistent focus on data accuracy. Communicate technical concepts, findings, and insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Be self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment. Have familiarity with Power Query and the M language, as well as Power BI Service administration, including workspaces, gateways, and row-level security, which is an asset. Bring exposure to Python or another scripting language for data processing and automation, which is an asset. Have experience with cloud data platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Snowflake, or similar technologies, which is an asset. Reside in the United States and be legally authorized to work in the country.
