The role also provides exposure to cloud-based AEM environments and evolving AI-assisted engineering practices while supporting business hours across Australia and New Zealand. Accountabilities: Use AI coding assistants such as Claude, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent tools as part of your daily workflow across coding, testing, documentation, analysis, and unfamiliar codebases. Review, test, understand, and validate all AI-generated output before committing it, maintaining full ownership of the code you deliver. Build and maintain AEM Sites components, templates, Sling Models, client libraries, and OSGi services under the guidance of senior engineers. Configure and support AEM Assets, including Digital Asset Management workflows and metadata-related capabilities. Develop backend services using Java, Spring, OSGi, Sling, and REST APIs, including integrations with enterprise systems. Build component-based frontend experiences using React JS or an equivalent modern framework while following design system and accessibility guidance. Apply WCAG 2.1 AA principles when developing digital experiences and reusable frontend components. Work within established Git branching, pull request, and code review practices, contributing both as an author and reviewer. Ensure features successfully progress through Maven builds, CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, and automated testing, resolving failures rather than passing issues downstream. Develop and maintain automated tests using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks. Support security testing activities and contribute to remediation of identified findings. Use AI and other engineering tools to become productive quickly when working with unfamiliar client codebases, technologies, or business domains. Share useful AI prompts, context files, reusable patterns, and workflow improvements with the wider engineering team. Take ownership of assigned features within each sprint while escalating architectural or design questions to senior engineers and architects when appropriate. Participate actively in Agile and Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and showcases. Maintain clear communication with senior engineers, architects, clients, and cross-functional stakeholders throughout delivery. Requirements: 4–6+ years of experience in full stack software engineering, including at least 2 years of hands-on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) experience. Demonstrated current, hands-on use of AI coding assistants such as Claude, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent across code, tests, and documentation. Ability to explain, review, test, and defend AI-assisted code before committing it to a production codebase. Strong AEM experience covering Sites component and template development, Sling Models, HTL/Sightly, client libraries, and OSGi services. Hands-on experience with AEM Assets, including Digital Asset Management workflows and fundamental metadata concepts. Strong Java development skills, ideally Java 8+, together with experience in Spring and RESTful API design. Experience with React JS or another modern frontend framework such as Angular or Vue, with a component-driven development approach. Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and accessible frontend development practices. Experience creating automated tests with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or a comparable testing framework. Experience working within Agile development teams and actively participating in Scrum ceremonies. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams. A proactive approach to learning, feedback, problem-solving, and communication, including the willingness to ask for support before becoming blocked. Ability to work with Australia and New Zealand business hours as required. Additional experience with AI context and rules files, reusable prompt libraries, MCP servers, custom agents, or automation is advantageous. Exposure to AEM Headless capabilities, Content Fragments, GraphQL, structured content modeling, or Generative Engine Optimisation is a plus. Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service, Cloud Manager, Dispatcher, CDN configuration, or Edge Delivery Services is beneficial. Familiarity with design systems, security testing, CRM integrations, Adobe Analytics, Node.js, microservices, or other CMS and MarTech platforms is advantageous. Adobe certification, such as AEM Sites Developer, and previous client-facing consulting or agency experience are considered valuable. Benefits: Fully remote position based in India. Full-time employment opportunity. Opportunity to work on real client engagements across AEM, MarTech, AI, and digital experience projects. Direct collaboration with senior engineers and architects, supporting continued technical development. Hands-on exposure to AI-first software engineering practices and evolving AI-assisted delivery workflows. Opportunity to deepen expertise across AEM Sites, AEM Assets, backend services, frontend development, testing, and cloud platforms. Exposure to AEM as a Cloud Service and modern content delivery approaches. Work supporting Australia and New Zealand business hours. Progressive ownership of features and increasing responsibility as technical experience develops. Opportunity to contribute ideas, reusable AI workflows, prompts, and engineering practices to the wider team. Client-facing and cross-functional collaboration in a senior, hands-on delivery environment.
