This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Enterprise Cloud Architect based in the United States. This is a fully remote opportunity to shape enterprise-scale cloud strategies and architectures across critical technology domains. You will design cloud-native solutions spanning compute, networking, data, identity, and security. The role combines strategic architecture with practical engineering judgment to deliver scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions. Accountabilities: Design and govern enterprise cloud-native architectures across compute, networking, data, identity, and security domains. Translate strategic business and technology objectives into scalable, secure, practical, and cost-effective cloud solutions. Establish and maintain architecture standards, principles, patterns, and governance practices aligned with enterprise requirements. Collaborate with business stakeholders, security architects, software engineers, platform teams, and other technical leaders to develop effective architectural solutions. Lead cloud migration, modernization, and platform consolidation initiatives from architectural strategy through implementation guidance. Evaluate cloud technologies and services, including containers, serverless platforms, managed databases, networking services, and identity capabilities. Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical direction that influences engineering decisions and long-term platform strategy. Develop formal architecture artifacts, technical documentation, diagrams, and recommendations for senior leadership and technical audiences. Balance security, compliance, scalability, performance, cost, time-to-market, and maintainability when making architectural decisions. Support enterprise cloud governance and help ensure solutions align with organizational standards and regulatory expectations. Contribute to FinOps and cost-transparency initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize cloud consumption and improve financial visibility. Facilitate technical discussions, resolve architectural trade-offs, and promote alignment across multidisciplinary teams. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline. At least 8 years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, enterprise architecture, or closely related roles. Deep hands-on expertise designing and implementing cloud-native solutions on at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Strong knowledge of cloud networking, identity and access management, security controls, and foundational cloud architecture principles. Demonstrated experience supporting cloud migration, modernization, and platform consolidation programs. Strong understanding of containerization, serverless technologies, managed data services, and modern cloud application architectures. Proven ability to create formal architecture documentation and communicate technical recommendations to senior leadership. Experience leading architecture reviews and influencing engineering teams and technical direction. Excellent communication, facilitation, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills. Strong architectural judgment, with the ability to evaluate trade-offs between business priorities, technical complexity, cost, security, and long-term sustainability. Professional cloud architecture certification from AWS, Azure, or GCP. Multiple cloud architecture certifications are preferred. Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments is an advantage. Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF is desirable. Experience working in regulated industries with demanding cloud compliance requirements is preferred. Experience driving FinOps, cloud cost optimization, or cost-transparency programs is a plus. Must be authorized to work in the United States; candidates requiring a new H-1B sponsorship are not eligible for this position. Benefits: Annual salary range of $140,000–$170,000 .
